Product Description:
Isophorone, also known as "1,1,3-trimethylcyclohexenone", is a six membered ring with a scientific name of 3,5,5-trimethyl-2-cyclohexene-1-one α,β- Unsaturated ketone, chemical formula c9h14o, is a colorless to yellow volatile liquid with characteristic odor (camphor / mint flavor). Naturally found in cranberries. Insoluble in water, soluble in most organic solvents such as ethanol, ether and acetone. Change to dimer at the sight of light. It is oxidized to 4,4,6-trimethyl-1,2-cyclohexanedione in air.
Isophorone is a high boiling point solvent.Is a good high boiling point ketone solvent, strong solubility.It is widely used in adhesives, plastics, pesticides, medicine, coatings, solid propellant containing high polymer and other industries.It can be used in p henol resin adhesive, shoe adhesive, tape adhesive, casting sand adhesive, resin, ink and other industries.
