Piperonyl Butoxide can be Used to kill insects, such as grain weevil, that develop during storage of grains such as rice, wheat and beans.It is often combined with the insecticide pyrethrin to form a complex for synergistic effect.The mortality rate was 46% when pyrethrin was used alone (housefly for example), and 92% when pyrethrin was used in combination with this product (30mg+400mg).The product is usually mixed with 10 times the amount of pyrethrin and prepared into 0.05% ~ 0.2% emulsion or powder.
