Properties:
Phenoxyethanol is colorless liquid. The melting point is 14ºC, the boiling point is 245.2ºC, the relative density is 1.1094 (20/20ºC), and the refractive index is 1.534. Soluble in alcohol, ether, slightly soluble in water. Stable in acid or base, with an aromatic odor and a burning taste.
Application:
Phenoxyethanol has excellent solubility for acrylic resin, ethyl cellulose, epoxy resin, alkyd resin, phenoxy resin and other resins, and can be miscible with alcohol and ether, commonly known as "universal solvent".
Phenoxyethanol can be used as water-based coating and ink film forming additives, fragrance fixing agent, ink fluxing agent, medicinal antiseptic bactericide, electronic cleaning agent and ink slow drying agent.
