As a solvent, it can be used in nitrocellulos'e, various resins, gum, rocket fuel, plasticizer and diesel additive, as well as in gas chromatography and organic synthesis. Triethylene glycol is mainly used as air dehumidifier solvent and aromatic hydrocarbon extractant. It is also used for printing ink, softener, humectant and disinfectant of air conditioning system. It is used as an excellent dehydrating agent for natural ga's, oilfield associated gas and carbon dioxide; Excellent organic solvent; Air germicide; Polyvinyl chloride, polyvinyl acetate resin, glass fiber and triethylene glycol ester plasticizer for asbestos pressboard, etc. It is also used for organic synthesis, such as brake oil with high boiling point and good low-temperature performance
