Properties

Diethylene Glycol Dimethyl Ether (EDDM) is a colorless flammable liquid with an ether odor. Miscible with water and hydrocarbons.
 

Application

Mainly used as a solvent. It is used as a solvent for alkali metal hydroxides in metal-organic compound synthesis, alkylation reactions, polycondensation and reduction reactions. Used in food additives, medicine, mineral take etc.
