Industrial use Alkyd Resin Coating Pentaerythrotol 98%min Penta
Pentaerythrotol belongs to polyol organic matter, which is white crystal or powder, combustible, easy to be converted by general organic esters, soluble in water.
Application:
1. Pentaerythrotol is mainly used in the coating industry to manufacture alkyd resin coatings, which can improve the hardness, gloss and durability of the coating film.
2. Pentaerythrotol can also be used as the raw material of rosin resin for paints, varnishes and printing inks, and can be used to make dry oil, smoldering coating and aviation lubricating oil.
3. Pentaerythrotol is also used in the production of medicine and pesticides.
4. Pentaerythrotol contains four equivalent hydroxymethyl groups with high symmetry, so it is often used as raw material for the preparation of multi-functional compounds. Pentaerythrotol tetranitrate can be prepared by nitration, which is a high explosive; Pentaerythrotol triacrylate can be obtained by esterification and used as coating. It can also be used as a flame retardant of adhesive.
5. It can be used with ammonium polyphosphate to obtain intumescent flame retardant. It is also used as a crosslinking agent of polyurethane to provide branched chains in polyurethane.
